DANIELA CHIONNA

Always balancing between art and design, Daniela Chionna makes her creative work a melting pot where she blends painting, design (light art), and sculpture. She is primarily known as a designer thanks to various fairs and festivals, including: Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto 1995, Salone Satellite at the Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano in 2002, Fuori Salone del Mobile in Milan and Cologne, Florence Biennale, and Arte Padova, just to name a few.

She has held numerous solo and group exhibitions at notable events in Italy and abroad (Japan, United States, Spain). Her works have been featured on television (Rai) and film sets, as well as in private and museum collections. She has also been widely published in industry magazines.

Daniela collaborates with leading furniture companies as an interior designer for public and private spaces, and with artisan workshops for the creation of customizable furniture and furnishings.

In the artistic field, her research focuses on different languages of abstraction, particularly abstract expressionism, creating large-scale pictorial panels for contemporary environments. A section dedicated to contract work is also a key part of her practice.
